Description
Dedicated on the state's 69th birthday, June 20th, 1932, the building cost almost $10,000,000 and has 14 acres of floor space and 333 rooms in its main core and two wings. As a cost comparison, two years later (1934), my West Virginia born and bred father earned 25 cents an hour and had to take time off without pay to marry my mother.
